This past week, October 10 – 16 Kris Samuel and Dena Joseph, part of the Space Weather Observations (SWO) Business Support Services team traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico to support the logistics as SWO geared up to co-host annular solar eclipse viewing activities where we educated the public on eclipses, solar phenomena, and NOAA’s space weather mission. They supported events at the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum, and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. This past week was also the 2023 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta which added to the excitement around the eclipse activities in Albuquerque. SWO was able to engage in outreach with thousands of people from around the United States who attended these events.
