INNOVIM Science News Producer, Haley Reed Is Part of the NASA SESDA Shorty Award Winning Team

The Shorty Awards were founded in 2008 as the first award show to honor the best creators on social media. Powered by Twitter users, the who’s who of the social web were voted on and honored in real-time via hashtags. Since then, the Shorty Awards have grown to honor the work of brands, agencies and creators across the social and digital space.

The members of NASA SESDA Code 130 outreach task, including Haley Reed, were recently recognized as part of a winning team for their entry Inspired by Parker Solar Probe’s journey, NASA’s #SolarTour – a campaign that takes our audiences on a voyage from Earth to the Sun, culminating in the announcement that Parker Solar Probe had finally “touched” the Sun.

In her role as a Science News Producer, Haley works at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. She works with scientists and engineers to develop narrative stories while managing the production of multimedia assets and communication campaigns for the public.
