December 3, 2025 | Huntsville, AL — INNOVIM Defense Services (IDS) has been selected as an awardee on the Missile Defense Agency’s groundbreaking Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) contract. With a ceiling of $151 billion, SHIELD is one of the largest and most forward-leaning defense contract vehicles in the nation, built to deliver cutting-edge capabilities at mission speed.
This milestone award ranks IDS among the top companies selected from over 2,400 offerors to support the Department of Defense through SHIELD. The vehicle is designed to quickly deploy innovative technologies across the homeland defense mission area, giving agencies solutions that incorporate artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital engineering, and open systems architectures.
“This is more than a contract—it is a launchpad for delivering disruptive capabilities to the warfighter,” said Mark Rodrigues, Senior Vice President, DoD at INNOVIM Defense Services. “Our team is ready to move with speed, precision, and purpose to support MDA’s mission to defend the homeland.”
SHIELD enables rapid task-order competitions across a broad range of technical domains, with performance anticipated at sites across the United States. It provides MDA and other DoD agencies with a streamlined path to acquire emerging technologies and engineering support that keep pace with the modern threat landscape.
The contract will run through December 2035 if all options are exercised. Funds will be obligated at the task order level.
This win reflects IDS’s growing momentum as a trusted partner in national defense innovation and reinforces our commitment to delivering mission-ready solutions that protect and empower U.S. warfighters.
