INNOVIM proudly celebrates Danielle Heiny for receiving the NESDIS Outstanding Support and Policy Team Member Award.
Danielle was recognized for her exceptional leadership in supporting communications for NOAA’s Space Weather Follow On – Lagrange 1 (SWFO-L1) mission. In this role, she helped translate complex space weather science into clear, accessible messaging for decision-makers, the media, and the public.
Through close coordination across NOAA, NASA, and NESDIS teams, Danielle played a critical role in communications planning and in increasing visibility for this historic mission. Her efforts helped highlight the importance of space weather monitoring and its direct impact on everyday life, from protecting critical infrastructure to improving public awareness of space weather events.
