INNOVIM has been awarded a new task order to provide scientific services to the Climate Program Office (CPO) within NOAA’s Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR). Performance began with a phase-in period on September 14, 2026, and the award covers a one-year base period with an option to extend performance through September 2028.
NOAA awarded the contract as a 100 percent Women-Owned Small Business set-aside, with INNOVIM serving as prime contractor.
Supporting Climate Research From Proposal to Public Impact
CPO manages NOAA’s competitive climate research programs, funding high-priority climate science, decision-support research, outreach, education, and capacity-building work that advances understanding of the Earth’s climate system and applies that knowledge to risk management and resilience.
Under this task order, INNOVIM provides scientific and programmatic services across the CPO Director’s Office and eight divisions and programs:
- Earth System Science and Modeling (ESSM)
- Atmospheric Chemistry, Carbon Cycle and Climate (AC4)
- Modeling, Analysis, Predictions and Projections (MAPP)
- Climate Observations and Monitoring (COM)
- National Integrated Heat Health Information System (NIHHIS)
- Climate and Societal Interactions (CSI)
- Adaptation Sciences (AdSci)
- Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA)
The scope spans the full lifecycle of a federal research program. INNOVIM personnel coordinate grant funding competitions and proposal review panels, track and administer funded research projects, build and maintain knowledge bases of project results and impacts, and plan and execute the workshops, webinars, and stakeholder engagements that carry findings beyond the research community.
The task order also includes web and data science services for Heat.gov, along with support for NIHHIS urban heat island mapping campaigns and coordination across NOAA’s One Health engagements with partner agencies.
