William Booth helps find solutions for hurricane tracking and warning systems

INNOVIM would like to congratulate William Booth for being an integral part of the solutions for the hurricane tracking and warning systems during the 2017 hurricane season.

Mr. Booth provided 3 significant contributions:

  1. He was the technical lead in the development and implementation of the Potential Storm Surge Flooding Map which played an integral part in determining life-saving evacuation decisions.
  2. Provided real-time technical assistance which resulted in efficient shift operations, quicker fixes to operationally critical systems, and improved communication both within and outside the organization.
  3. Contributed innovative technical methodology for a new capability for post landfall response and recovery that enabled the National Hurricane Center to provide hind casts that could help multiple agencies and platforms provide more efficient operational responses and coordinate timely recovery activities.
