Integrated scientific communications for Federal science missions: scientific illustration, data visualization, interactive web tools, public affairs, multimedia, event support, and Section 508 accessibility. Curated examples, organized by capability.
INNOVIM turns complex Federal science into accurate, accessible, decision-ready communications for NOAA, NASA, and partner agencies. Highlights follow, led by a featured multi-year partnership with NOAA’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL).
As PMEL’s embedded creative and communications partner, INNOVIM’s on-site Media Specialists have delivered high-impact scientific graphics, multimedia, public communications, and 508-compliance support that bridge high-level oceanographic and climate science with public-facing outreach and agency brand identity.
For NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, INNOVIM delivered public-facing scientific communication, interactive web visualizations, and data graphics. Because CPC’s mission is global, nearly all of these products are live and publicly accessible today.
Beyond communications, INNOVIM builds the science. Under company-funded and SBIR research, INNOVIM developed LEARN² (Landfalling Event Atmospheric River Neural Network), a machine-learning system that predicts extreme rainfall from landfalling atmospheric rivers on the U.S. West Coast, delivered through an interactive public web tool. This work, presented at the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Annual Meeting, shows INNOVIM’s ability to pair deep scientific and data-science expertise with the same visualization and web-delivery skills applied across this portfolio. All diagrams below are original INNOVIM work products.
INNOVIM produces broadcast-quality science video, launch and mission media, and live-shot packages for Federal science audiences. As a subcontractor to ADNET Systems on NASA’s Science, Engineering, Systems and Data Analysis (SESDA) contract at Goddard Space Flight Center, INNOVIM staff produced and filmed science-communication videos for NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio and the NASA Science Live series. Several are public and linked below; each NASA page independently credits the INNOVIM team member who performed the work.
INNOVIM manages the full lifecycle of public science writing for NOAA and NESDIS — original research and subject-matter-expert interviews, multi-tier agency review, accessibility and graphics integration, and strategic publication timing. Each feature below is live and publicly published.
