Silver Spring, Md., October 2026. INNOVIM Defense Services, LLC (IDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of INNOVIM, LLC, will continue its support to the North American Aerospace Defense Command as a member of the Amentum team selected by the U.S. Air Force for the NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment and Space Support Contract III (NISSC III). The award, announced by the Department of War on September 28, 2026, follows IDS’s work on the predecessor NISSC II contract.
Standing watch over North America
Deep inside Cheyenne Mountain, the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) system brings together data from certified sensors around the world to determine the nature of missile launches and aerospace threats, then delivers that warning to the senior leaders of the United States and Canada. It is a mission that allows no downtime and no margin for error.
Under NISSC III, the Amentum team will operate, maintain, and sustain the NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex ITW/AA system, legacy space command and control capabilities, and the related systems and tools that support the warning mission. The work spans system administration, vulnerability management, organizational-level maintenance, and test support. Performance is based at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, and is anticipated to continue through September 2033. Space Systems Command is the contracting activity, and the competition drew seven offers.
Continuity for a mission that cannot pause
As a member of the NISSC II team, IDS has supported the systems at the heart of North America’s warning mission. That experience carries directly into NISSC III: cleared personnel who already know the systems, the operational tempo, and the security requirements of the Cheyenne Mountain mission. For a warning system that must be available every hour of every day, continuity of people and knowledge matters.
IDS holds a Top Secret facility clearance with personnel cleared to TS/SCI and supports defense customers across Colorado, Nebraska, California, Alabama, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
“Our team has been part of this mission through NISSC II, and we are proud to continue that work with Amentum under NISSC III. NORAD’s warning systems cannot go dark, and we look forward to continuing to support the men and women who stand watch over North America.”
Marianna Murphy, President, INNOVIM
Congratulations to Amentum and to the entire NISSC III team.
