INNOVIM Employees Win HBG Award

INNOVIM | Award

Through the peer award process, members of the Hydrosphere, Biosphere, and Geophysics Labs (610HBG) at NASA were given the opportunity to honor individuals (civil servants and contractors) and teams who have made important contributions to NASA’s mission. INNOVIM was recognized with two awards.

Erika Simon works on the backend development of the Cryosphere model Comparison Tool (CmCt) under the guidance of Sophie Nowicki (a fellow HBG winner). This is a web-based ice sheet model validation tool to facilitate direct comparison between satellite observational data and various ice sheet models. Erika is also responsible for all the Ice Sheet Model Intercomparison Project for CMIP6 (ISMIP6) related data processing and evaluation.

The ATLAS Science Algorithms Software Team was recognized for developing and maintaining the science algorithm software used to process science data sent by the ICESat-2 ATLAS instrument. It is a key component of the ICESat-2 mission.

Congratulations Erika and the ATLAS Science Algorithms Software Team on your accomplishments.
